Bone Specialist
Dr Tan is a MOH accredited specialist in orthopaedic surgery. He has vast experience in managing different bone and joint problems, including upper limb, lower limb and spine problems. He is also skilful in dealing with orthopaedic emergencies such as fractures, sports injuries and infections.
Being one of the few brightest undergraduates from NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine to be selected into postgraduate residency training early, he was offered the opportunities to visit and learn from the best in orthopaedics including Oxford-Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Wrightington, Oswestry and Stanmore Orthopaedic Centres. He had also presented in several international conferences including AOFAS, EFAS and AFFAS. Prior to joining SSOC, Dr Tan was a clinical tutor to both NUS and NTU- Imperial Medical Schools.
Dr Tan’s recreations include long distance running, tennis and different types of martial arts. His passion for sports is a motivation for him to better relate to various sports and orthopaedic injuries. Dr Tan believes in holistic care for his patients and will go the extra mile to plan for the best treatment for his patients.
